I am committing to carpooling whenever it is possible! If everybody gave it a shot instead of driving separate vehicles when ride sharing is a possibility, imagine how much car pollution we would save?

We live in a (very) small town just outside of a (slightly less) small city. It is about 30 minutes commute and my husband drives there and back daily for work. I know, totally not green, but sadly he has to work. I needed to be in the city today too. Rather than taking our second vehicle, we went in together. Yes, it required getting up ridiculously early, having to crash at my mom's house all day and meant my house stayed in its disasterous state since I wasn't around all day to clean it, but it meant one less car on the road. We also picked up my hubby's coworker on our way through the city- double carpooling! Which is like, totally green!

I wish my co-workers were as open to carpooling as you are! I can never convince anyone to join me on my 39.25 mile (one-way!) trip to work, even though there are people who live very close. Don't they realize they could save money by carpooling?!?
