Some may consider today's eco friendly act to be cheating, but I still think it is green. We just had a big winter storm. Lots of snow, lots of wind, lots of complaining about it from me. In order to leave the house, we had to dig our way out. So that is what we did- got out there and shoveled. My green thing? Shoveling instead of using a snow blower. Now, I know that
technically I don't own a snow blower... however, I do have access to one and my husband suggested borrowing his dad's, but I said no. We will do it the old fashioned way and not pollute the air with the gas powered snow blower. It wasn't fun, but we tag teamed it and cleared a path.
See the foot prints in the photo? There's actually a cement path there but it was covered with snow. You can't tell where the lawn is and where the path is. My poor husband had to trudge through all that heavy snow to get to the house.
I would encourage any other unfortunate souls who must deal with this wintery mess to pass on the snow blower and go for the shovel instead!
Stay warm,

That's pretty rough. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to shovel out a way like you did. My mom and step dad are getting old and well they're not in the greatest shape; I think snowblowers should be used in extreme cases....but if possible, we should prioritize shovelling.
