Day 30- Getting My Entrance Back

Saturday, January 30, 2010
Our back entrance had recently become a very large pile of paper and cardboard. I was quite sick of looking at it, so I decided to perform my green act of the day and take it all to the cardboard recycling recepticle downtown. It was a huge pain in the butt because there was so much of it, but I tried to do it with a smile on my face.

I want to take this opportunity to suggest that when you take your cardboard and paper to wherever it needs to go, be sure to pay attention to any signs posted on the recycling bins. There was a sign which clearly stated that there should be NO plastic bags in the paper recycling bin, yet when I opened it to put in my paper, there were a bunch of plastic bags. While I applaud this person's decision to recycle their paper goods, I would like to point out that there are many grocery stores (and other places too) at which you can recycle your plastic bags.

That is all from me,

When recycling my paper, I place it in paper leaf / lawn bags. It makes transportation of it easier, especially since it takes about 2 weeks to fill a single bag in my house.
