My Blackberry goes where I go. It follows me all over the house and anytime I leave. It stays on my bedside table while I sleep. It never gets turned off. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous that really is. I don't need to be in constant contact with the world. How about a little privacy, a little alone time? What strikes me as most ridiculous is the fact that I leave it on all night. If someone were to call me in the middle of the night I probably wouldn't even answer anyway, and if I did, I likely wouldn't be very nice about it. So, let's turn it off over night! How is this green? It will need to spend a lot less time charging if it is not on as often. Charging = energy.
So, go ahead! Call me in the middle of the night. I won't even know. Leave a voice mail and I'll listen to it in the morning ;)

That is a great idea. I should just turn mine off all the time. I never answer it anyway.
I use mine as an alarm clock so I thought I had to leave it on all the time. Turns out though, (as I was rudely awakened one morning) that the alarm causes the phone to turn on just long enough to wake me and then shuts off again! Cool feature...since I learned that I turn my phone off at bedtime every night. Also helps me sleep better because I don't have to wonder if that sound I heard was a text coming in...it wasn't...the phone was off! :)
Blackberry should be renamed crackberry! They are so addictive! I used to have mine on and with me all the time but have weaned myself, sometimes i forget to turn it off silent or even take it with me! We always used to cope with out them....
