I love it when I'm out and about and green changes just present themselves to me. On Monday mornings, baby Chelsea and I go into the city for her swimming lessons. When I got there this morning, I was very excited to find a semi-decent parking spot in the lot. Anyways, I got out of the car and went around to the back to take Chelsea out of her car seat. The parking spot next to me was empty and when I looked over I saw a couple empty pop bottles laying on the ground. I was quite disappointed that someone would just litter them instead of doing the responsible thing and recycling them! So, I figured I would do it for them. I went over and snatched up the pop bottles. There was also a pair of underwear laying on the ground (seriously), but I decided to leave them for someone else to claim as their own.So, if people are choosing not to recycle their pop bottles, I will take it upon myself to do it for them for the remainder of my challenge. I will pick up any bottles/cans I see on the ground and see to it that they are recycled. I'm sure these bottles are just thrilled to have been rescued from a life long landfill sentence.
On another note, I just realized that I still have 312 days left in my challenge. It was sort of a "HOLY CRAP- HOW WILL I THINK OF THAT MANY CHANGES TO MAKE?!" kind of moment. HELP!? I'd love to hear your suggestions on other things I can do for my challenge!
