Day 55- Ironing Things Out
Posted by Nicole Bergman at 5:28 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010
The laptop stayed off today! (Well, until now of course.) I'm was worried that I'd be going through withdrawal after yesterday's commitment to unplug from the internet (except to blog and check email) for the last week of each month for the remainder of my challenge. It wasn't as bad as I thought. It gave me a chance to catch up on some housework (and to do some reading as well). Since I wasn't distracted by the computer and all the online world has to offer, I was also able to remove my laundry from the dryer as soon as the dry cycle ended. I seem to have a terrible habit for leaving my clothes in the dryer, sometimes for numerous days, which leaves them wrinkled and creased. What does that mean? It means I have to get out the iron. While I have a very nice iron, I dislike having to use it simply because I was too lazy to get up and put away my laundry once it dried. It is a waste of power and water. So, I have decided that upon hearing the dryer stop once the clothes are dry, I will promptly empty the dryer and put away all the clothes to avoid wrinkles and therefore avoid ironing.
