As if having the flu last week wasn't bad enough, my husband picked up conjunctivitis earlier this week, and more recently, a sore throat. I have managed to avoid the conjunctivitis, however, I do feel a sore throat coming on. Great. Normally I would be whipping out to the store and stocking up on a plethora of different throat lozenges, throat sprays and other medications along with their wasteful packaging, but I'm choosing a more natural approach to honour my green challenge. I will be trying some home remedies to ward off this sore throat.
- Hot tea with honey and lemon
- Gargling salt water
- Drinking hot water with ginger slices
- Drinking hot water with half a teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
- Eating lots of fruits and veggies
- Frozen fruit smoothies
- Getting some sleep!
This is all I can think up right now. Any other suggestions?

Also try a spoonful of honey with lemon juice squeezed on it.
