I had never recycled my tin cans before today. There, I admitted it. They've always just gone in the garbage. As ridiculous as it sounds, I didn't really realize they
could be recycled until a few months ago, and since then, I've been saving them. There's a small recycling area downtown where you can drop off your cardboard, newspaper and tin cans as well. My mother-in-law so graciously offered to take my daughter for the day so that I could catch up around the house (and just relax!), so I decided to clean out under the sink- the tin can storage place. I rinsed them all up, removed all the labels and packed them up to go downtown to be recycled. I saved 19 tin cans from a life sentence in the landfill. Yay recycling!
I don't often buy canned goods, but I will be sure to save and recycle any that I do use.
